Before online learning was everywhere, Lynda.com was the go-to spot to level up your skills. From Photoshop to programming, it offered binge-worthy tutorials taught by real experts—no fluff, just solid, practical knowledge. Whether you were a curious beginner or a seasoned creative brushing up, Lynda made learning feel doable (and even kind of fun).
Designing for education meant every visual had to teach. I worked closely with trainers to understand both the software and the learning objectives for each course. From there, I developed original concepts and identified where visuals could simplify workflows, clarify processes, or highlight key features to help learners better understand how to use the software.
I created robust, fun brands with learner-friendly graphics that helped instructors effectively teach Adobe software to students of all levels, ensuring that each asset aligned with both the course objectives and Lynda.com’s design standards. The company lives on as LinkedIn Learning, but to me the heart will always be Lynda.
Branding from Scratch: Custom Learning Content
At Lynda.com, I developed original artwork for Adobe tutorials by creating fictional companies complete with custom logos, branding elements, and websites. I designed layered Photoshop and InDesign files, vector assets, and style guides that instructors used to teach real-world skills in design and production. Every detail—from color palettes to iconography—was crafted to give learners a polished, hands-on experience that felt both professional and practical.
